Why do you feel that you are the most qualified candidate for the position you are running to hold?
I have the most experience and knowledge of the candidates running. I have exhibited humility, temperament and character while a Trustee. I am a "dyed-in-the-wool" fiscal conservative and vote to bring maximum value to the township taxpayers. I am not for sale (at any price) and I fund my own campaign. I am most proud when I see young families working, living, playing and raising their families and pets in a safe, clean, and affordable Macomb Township. The honest, hardworking township taxpayers are the true heroes to me and deserve faithful public servants.
What do you believe is the most important issue facing the township right now, and how do you plan to address it if elected?
Continue efficient local government and taxpayer value by allocating priorities: 1) expand revenue through state/federal grants NOT higher taxes, 2) close sidewalk gaps, 3) water and sewer rates as low as possible while maintaining the system, 4) improve roads with more "roundabouts" at congested intersections, 5) clean government without any corruption, and 6) improve and maintain public parks/spaces and our senior citizens' programming. Of course, lowering taxes whenever possible.

Since being elected in 2012, Cusumano has a 100% "NO" voting record on increases for tuition and fees. Cusumano has worked hard (with no compensation) to avoid the College becoming another taxpayer funded HONEY POT for special interests.
